Hello. We actually already have a word for 'link' in the dictionary that was created by the Auld admins here.

hlagks, mi.,Β ? hlagkeis, mja. - link

I don't know what etymology that is. Do you know? I actually like your word, but 'hlagks' has already been implemented into the Wikipedia infrastructure as you can see on the right: πˆπŒ°π‚πŒΎπŒΉπƒ πƒπŒ΄πŒΉπŒ³π‰πŒ½πŒ° 𐌷𐌻𐌰𐌲𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳 πŒ·πŒΉπŒ³π‚πŒ΄. I don't know whether it is useful to have several words for it on here. If we could only use the translation function -.-' Then I would tend to yours, hlagks seems odd to me, espacially for I don't know where that word comes from. And btw, I guess we shouldn't use hyphens in Gothic script on Wikipedia here. That looks a bit unnatural since they are actually only used by grammarians to show where a morphem starts and the other ends. But ga- is a proper prefix that is totally linked to the word like German ge-. Zylbath (talk) 12:54, 26 πŒ°πŒΊπ‚πŒ°πŒ½πŒΌπŒ΄πŒ½π‰πŒΈπƒ 2014 (UTC)

I used a dictionary and a connection means 'gawiss'. So I think that it's the closest approach. I think that hlagks is based on the sound. 'link', 'lank'. It's indeed implented, but the word for Peru isn't used by anyone too, except for the dictionary which is made here. I found an article in which Pairu was used, which was written before the proposal to use Pairu. Ehm, you are the admin so I would like to ask if we can change link to 'gawiss', as I haven't actually seen anyone using 'hlagks', and although an Admin made up the word it's no sense to keep it in use if nobody uses it, while 'gawiss' might be a nice Gothic alternative for link. We could also choose to have both 'link' and 'gawiss', we use sometimes both the English and Dutch word for a same meaning in Dutch too.

The reason why I use the hyphens is because I 'm never sure if I need to use them or not, because I find them in dictionaries, but I agree with you that we rather remove the hyphens. I will build a function in my Gothic unicode text tool to remove hyphens. Have you used it by the way? I use it for the Latin transcriptions. Well, as I said, I prefer your 'gawiss', but I can't change what is in the Wikipedia interface. Wikimedia closed the translation function for the Gothic Wikipedia years ago because we used too much Latin Script and they won't open it. I asked so many times but they just rest stubborn. But I'd go with you to use both words, hlagks in the Wikipedia interface, as there's no other way, and 'gawiss' everywhere else as of now.
No, I haven't used that function yet for I haven't written any Gothic texts. But I love that function and I am really happy and glad you made it. It makes thinks a lot more easier. Zylbath (talk) 20:42, 26 πŒ°πŒΊπ‚πŒ°πŒ½πŒΌπŒ΄πŒ½π‰πŒΈπƒ 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, it only contains PHP though. I know some CSS and it doesn't have a lay-out yet. Maybe I will try to add a nice lay-out now. Can you add coding to Wikipedia? If it's similar to PHP I could try to code such a function here too, but my tool is there anyway now. Bokareis (talk) 21:50, 26 πŒ°πŒΊπ‚πŒ°πŒ½πŒΌπŒ΄πŒ½π‰πŒΈπƒ 2014 (UTC)
Yes, I guess you can add coding here. But I guess you have to ask someone else for I am not really firm with adding coding in here. Zylbath (talk) 09:07, 27 πŒ°πŒΊπ‚πŒ°πŒ½πŒΌπŒ΄πŒ½π‰πŒΈπƒ 2014 (UTC)
